About Me

I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2005 from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed my APA approved internship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado (Psy.0005196). I am also a Professor at Penn State University (while living in Colorado) where I focus my research on improving the health and lives of individuals through clinically based interventions. In addition to working with individuals dealing with a variety of issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, adjustment to difficult life events), I have specialized expertise in the treatment of alcohol and substance-related problems and coping with chronic health problems.
